And Michael Vick is STILL an idiot...

So Mr. Vick wants a dog...

I cannot even begin to explain how vile this is.

Any thoughts from my fellow dog lovers?

Momma Heartbeat

UPDATE: I am still stewing. I suggest that he go to one of the rescues that spent countless hours and dollars cleaning up a mess that he created. Just ask one of those volunteers if they'll adopt out a dog to you MIKE. Having a dog in your life is a privilege NOT a right.

I seriously think the absurdity is going to send me over the edge. AHHHH!!!

2nd UPDATE: He actually is banned from ever owning a dog but the fact that he utters such a statement is insulting to all the people that were left holding the leashes of the dogs he terrorized and those that work everyday to rescue dogs, end BSL, and every responsible pet owner out there. He is a tough pill to swallow, especially for us Bully lovers. *Remember Calhoun is a boxer/ bulldog mix.

  6. MayzieMom here. He is a vile, despicable excuse for a human being. "Wah, wah...poor me...I can't have a dog." And he thinks having a dog would help his rehabilitation? That's like a drug addict saying that having a meth lab in his kitchen would help with his rehabilitation. Seriously...he has to be one of the most disgusting human beings ever.

  7. Don't even get me started. This is just sickening. I certainly hope someone stops him from getting a dog, but I have my doubts that this will be enforced.

  9. Every time I hear his name come up on the news, I just tune to something else. I refuse to give him any more attention. My personal feelings about him are probably best kept to myself, but I just wish he'd go away and quit insulting my intelligence with his ridiculous craptastic statements.

  11. And he had the nerve to turn it onto his daughter - how she wants a dog - blah blah

Most of us - HUMANS - have said maybe he should tell his daughter about what he did to the nice doggies he used to have -

    He still doesn't get it

He still is not sorry for what he did

Rotting in a cage somewhere is too good for him

  12. By the way, Wayne Pacelle - the president of the Humane Society of the United States - says that ""I have been around him a lot, and feel confident that he would do a good job as a pet owner." WTH? Isn't his job to protect the animals from Vick? Not try to get him another victim?

I just wrote Mr. Pacelle an email. Here's his address, if you'd like to do the same: wpacelle@hsus.org

One thing's for sure, the HSUS will NEVER get another dime of my money.

  13. I want to throw up when I see the t.v. post an NFL game as "The Philadelphia Eagles with Michael Vick" as if he is some great celebrity.

Pond scum is what I would call him.

Him own a dog? I hope somebody strings him up. And soon.

  14. Mama thinks he just says that stuff about his daughter wanting a dog, over and over, as part of his canned community service speech he gives twice a month. Maybe he thinks it humanizes him somehow. Mama has to wonder whether he really wants another dog, as he's got to know that would increase the eyes on him all the time by a factor of 100, just watching to see if he screwed up. At least he did have to pay a substantial sum, under court order, to Last Chance for Animals and some other groups that took in the survivors of his death camp, to pay for supporting and rehabing the dogs he abused. Mama would be interested to know if he's donating any of his Philadelphia Eagles millions to animal welfare groups, without a court order being required.
