Sexy Beach Hunk of GSD for the Ladies!!

Ever had a dog that you just know was MEANT to be in your life but you just can't figure out where or how you can make it work? Well McIver is that dog for me. I LOVE this dog but he and Calhoun just cannot be trusted together. Silly boys!

So most of you know that Mac lives with my friend Julie. Julie had to visit her Mom in Michigan and due to Mac's "finicky" nature, I am his only other option for care. So I can make it work for a couple of weeks. It takes a lot of crate juggling and a super watchful eye but I love him.

We are fortunate to live in one of the MOST beautiful parts of the world with gorgeous lakes surrounded by amazing mountains. Since yesterday was rather warm, Mac & I hit the lake. There is a special place that I take my pups. It's a mile or so hike in to our county park but then there is a fabulous sandy beach where they can run off leash. The only reason I know about it is that I used to work for the county! ;-)

I threw the stick for a solid hour while McIver had the time of his life. When it was time to dry off, McIver sat by my feet. He also did the hike off leash because he didn't leave my side! It was a time that reminded me how much I love my life and my dogs! I wish I had time to do it every day!

Here are my pictures...he is such a hunky dog!

He is a stingy kisser! I can't believe I have proof that he loves me! LOL

I gots it Mamma!

Chase me Ma!

I pooped in the water over there! Mamma didn't see until it was too late!

Do we really have to leave?

  6. That looks like a great time. I heard the humans pee in there, so I guess it's not a big deal you pooped.

  8. What a hot daddy. Glad you get to hang with him sometimes!

Too bad the boys can't get along; my boys grumble at each other all the time but sometimes I suspect there's a bromance under all that bluster. Wish they could own it more of the time, but o well:)

  9. Looks like a perfect day! I think Mac is embarrassed that he pooped in the water.

  11. First, we just realized that we never subscribed to your blog. MANY APOLOGIES!

That is a garter snake. He is good for the garden so he gets to stick around even though Mrs. Master FREAKS OUT when she's weeding and he shows his face. The rest of us get a chuckle out of that.
